Rwanda and Singapore have signed a Double Taxation Avoidance (DTA) Agreement.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday by Rwanda’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Louise Mushikiwabo, and her Singaporean counterpart K Shanmugam.
The signing ceremony was held at the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters following a bilateral meeting between the two ministers.
During the bilateral meeting, the ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of trade and investments.
It was further agreed that the two countries advance with consultations aimed at entering an Investment Guarantee Agreement to further promote trade and investments between Singapore and Rwanda.
Mushikiwabo arrived in Singapore to attend a sub-Saharan High Level Ministerial Exchange that included a meeting with the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Long.
