The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is an organisation that I believe is going to the dogs. Not only had they suspended the Togo team for deciding not to play in the most recent African Cup of Nations (because they had been attacked by a rebel group) but their latest action simply surpasses the imagination.
I found out, reading yesterdays sports section of the Newtimes, that the injured Togo goalkeeper Kodjovi Obilale is receiving US$25,000 for treatment from FIFA. He is still unable to walk eight months after the machine-gun attack.
I am shocked the CAF hasn’t given him a single red cent yet he got attacked while attending the CAF African Cup of Nations. I think that the people in this organization should quickly pull up their socks.
