Editor,Now that the Fespad African music and dance festival has ended I’m wondering what we, music lovers, will do. This festival, which lasted quite a while, was wonderful. We had bona fide stars, both African and international, performing for us. Now that it has ended I’m suffering withdrawal symptoms. Having seen how popular these shows have been with the Rwandan public, I ask “why haven’t music promoters been bringing artists on a more regular basis”? I think that there is a market for that kind of thing. I urge promoters to fill the music vacuum. There is a lot of money to be made. Kibuye
