City traders drum up support for Kagame

Business came to a standstill, yesterday, as traders from popular central business hubs, Quartier Commercial and Quartier Mateus, in Nyarugenge District, flooded the streets in support of RPF candidate, Paul Kagame.

Business came to a standstill, yesterday, as traders from popular central business hubs, Quartier Commercial and Quartier Mateus, in Nyarugenge District, flooded the streets in support of RPF candidate, Paul Kagame. They danced and sang in support of the RPF presidential candidate.

Addressing the gathering, MP Saidat Mukanoheli, who spoke on behalf of the RPF flagbearer, said that development, good governance and economic growth are a hallmark of RPF’s vision for the country. 

“There are tremendous infrastructural developments that have taken place across the City in the past seven years; the economy has grown visibly, issues like gender equality and poverty eradication have been emphasised,” she said.

She told the crowd to vote for Kagame because has demonstrated his capacity to guarantee peace and security for all Rwandans, which are key to business growth.

“If you want a safe and stable Rwanda, vote for Kagame; it’s the right choice for the development of Rwanda,” she noted.

John Rwangombwa, the Minister of Finance, who said that it’s the time to vote for the leader who has a better vision for the country, and that that was none other than Kagame.

Consolate Mukarusanga, one of the traders, said that, businesses have flourished under Kagame’s leadership, especially, over the last seven years.

“We assure him a 100 percent of our support because we know we will be able to take a step ahead in doing business across the region if he stays in power,” she said.
