FESPAD 2010: Mike Ellison, Necessary Noize steal the show

SUNDAY’S concert was a spectacular one and the show gave concert goers value for their money. First on stage were former TPF3 contestants, Alpha and Christian-they brought out the best performance, showing the regional and international artists that, local artists have what it takes to pullout the crowd.

First on stage were former TPF3 contestants, Alpha and Christian-they brought out the best performance, showing the regional and international artists that, local artists have what it takes to pullout the crowd.           

Holy Jah Doves put up a great display, something very different from their usual performances—a combination of reggae and a traditional dance ensemble. Natty Dread and his two children did a joint gig and left their fans longing for more.

Necessary Noize, Kenya’s famous group put out a good performance, with people dancing to their tunes and singing along to their songs. 

Opening with his great skills, Mike Ellison was greeted with a roar by cheering music fans. The US based Ethiopian star, went on stage and had every single person in the crowd singing along.

Mike, who expressed his love for Rwanda, left the crowd screaming, as they wanted more after he performed for more than 30 minutes.

Global diva, Lauryn Hill, drew mixed feelings from the crowd. She was also let down by the sound system.
