Holland fans in Kigali amazed by W/Cup run

CREATED as a mini-stadium with a green carpet, pitch lines, corner flags, goal posts, Vuvuzelas and decorated with flags and T-shirts representing various countries, Hotel Des Mille Collines’ mini-soccer village stands out as the one of Kigali’s hot spots as far as watching the 2010 FIFA World Cup is concerned.

But with huge sponsorship from the Hotel, Bralirwa and the Dutch Embassy, games involving Holland have been the most watched.

With lots of food and drinks, the number of Orange boys’ supporters has grown by the day.

Holland’s last two games, a quarter-final clash with Brazil and semi-final tie against Uruguay have been the most intriguing.

This unique soccer Village, seen by some as the heart for the Dutch team Kigali Fans’ base, is without doubt the place to be this Sunday as Holland chase for their first World Cup trophy.
