Happy Liberation Day to all Rwandans

It was on July 4, twenty three long years ago, when a gallant and distinguished leader of the Rwanda Patriotic Army (RPA) overcame the brutality of the then ruling Government and brought to an end the devastation caused by the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

It was on July 4, twenty three long years ago, when a gallant and distinguished leader of the Rwanda Patriotic Army (RPA) overcame the brutality of the then ruling Government and brought to an end the devastation caused by the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

 

Yes, it was none other than President Paul Kagame and the RPA who liberated this beautiful land of a thousand hills after one hundred days of sheer terror and inhuman acts of violence and hatred.

 

Please allow me – on Rwanda’s Liberation Day – to salute this visionary leader and wish all Rwandans in the country and all over the world “Happy Liberation Day”.
