Rwanda Cricket Association development team captain John Bosco Tuyizere is confident his side will win this year’s Computer Point Twenty20 tournament—the debutants take on Telugu Royals in the final today at Kicukiro cricket ground.

“Everyone in the club is very excited to be playing in the final, remember it’s out first competition, so be in the final after winning all but one of our games since the tournament started, including beating Challengers, is something special and we can’t take it lightly but the ultimate goal is to win the trophy,” said Tuyizere.

Challengers Cricket Club have won almost everything in Rwandan cricket and were the defending champion of the Computer Point Twenty20 tournament for three seasons, before they fell to the youthful side in the groups.

RCA dev’t team, which is made of players under the age of 19, will be playing their first ever final against a tricky Telugu Royals side, who also will be biting their fingers as they seek to win a first piece of silverware.

RCA’s Ochide Tuyisenge, one of the youngest cricket prospects in the country, will be looking to continue his impressive form, which has seen him make 123 runs and taken 17 wickets in the tournament.

This youthful side was established in May this year by the Rwanda Cricket Association with the view of nurturing the young cricket players into full internationals.
