After losing to Etincelles at the weekend, six-time league champions Rayon Sport are keen on a quick response in their next league outing against Atraco.

On a weekend when none of the traditional big four failed to win, Rayon were humbled 2-1 by newly promoted at Nyamirambo stadium. APR lost to Mukura 1-0, Kiyovu were also beaten 1-0 by Electrogaz while table leaders Atraco could only manage a goalless draw against Musanze.

Rayon’s head coach Jean Baptiste Kayiranga said he’s working on improving his team’s approach to games, something he hopes to have managed to before facing rivals Atraco on Sunday.

“The players didn’t play as real Rayon Sport players. Technically, we hope to improve before Sunday,” Kayiranga said yesterday.

The former AS Kigali tactician also added that players need to be motivated if they’re to give their best in every game.
“When a player is not getting his salary on time, he will lose morale and that will definitely affect him on and off the field.

“But I will prepare the team technically and maybe the management will be concerned with the rest of the players’ concerns,” Kayiranga noted.
