Rwanda’s recent move to plant over 20 million trees was a great contribution in saving the world from the current climatic change.
The practice came at a time when the entire world and the sub-Saharan countries are highly challenged with changing patterns of weather, something attributable to climate change.
This event also came ahead of forthcoming Copenhagen conference on climate change, signaling an important contribution of Rwanda in terms of coming up with tangible solutions to this global crisis.
In fact, Rwanda should showcase this activity to the entire world as one of its recent move in combating climate change.
However, we should not stop at planning these trees; all citizens should embark on maintaining them and also take this tree-planting campaign beyond borders.
