Live Bands

La Diagonale de la Rumba, a popular rumba band, will thrill revelers at Greenwich Hotel in Kisimenti from Friday evening through to Sunday evening with renditions of popular rumba tracks and their own compositions. Sound of Hills will take the stage at Milles Collines on Saturday and Sunday evening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm playing renditions of popular jazz, blues and soul tracks and occasionally tracks from their oncoming album.

Cinema

Movie lovers have a choice between Thor 2, The Conjuring, Gravity, Battle of the Year and Captain Phillips. Tickets for 3D are at Rwf 4500 and 2D tickets are at 3500

Concerts

Over the weekend American singer and song writer, Tenzin Chopak, will have a two hour concert at Heaven in Kiyovu from 7:30 to 9:30pm. The vocalist was awarded Best Male Vocalist by the Ithaca Journal. Entrance is free.

SOS Villages Rwanda will tomorrow host Fireman, Bulldog, Urban Boyz, Amag the Black and Bruce Melodie at a concert set to raise funds for the children’s home. The event will begin at 4PM to 8PM. Tickets range from Rwf 500 Francs to 1500 and the funds will go to charity.

Night clubs

Those in the party mood can let loose at K-club on Hot Fridays and Turn Up Saturdays playing the best of dance-hall and reggae, entrance is Rwf 5000 for regular and Rwf10000 for VIP.

Club papyrus at the restaurant’s ground floor is also an ideal place for anyone in the dancing mood. Sundowner and Ogopogo, a stone throw away from Papyrus, are ideal spots for grown folks who would like to have a drink as they chat.
