The Equity Market Today, the Rwanda OTC and recorded no transactions.Friday 21th August 2009, on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) a total of 498,200. KCB shares traded between 21.75 Kshs (Rwf.162) and Kshs 21.00 (Rwf 156) to close at Kshs 21.25 (Rfw 158). The NSE all share indexes closed 0.24 points down to close at 69.16. The trading volumes were lower than the previous day; 15,674,800 shares were traded with a turnover of Kshs 141,368,350 on Friday while 17,930,400 shares had been traded with a turnover of Kshs 121,182,955 on Thursday. DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange) and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares. The Bond Market: On the bond market no transactions were recorded. At the close of business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.
