Kwibuka is not only a time to remember the memory of those who lost their lives in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi but also to offer and show support to the survivors. For the past four years, as a way of commemorating the genocide, the employees of the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) have taken time off their busy schedules to create time to contribute to the wellbeing of vulnerable survivors of the genocide.

This way of commemorating the genocide was born out the desire of employees to give back to the community and participate in social activities that would help improve the lives of the vulnerable people in our society by providing them with decent housing, access to clean water and a means of earning a livelihood.
