Worship festival launched with lively performances

A gospel show, dubbed “Rabagirana Worship Festival”, was on Sunday launched at Kigali Serena Hotel.

The event, which is set to be an annual affair, was organised by Christian Communication Rwanda.

It aims at refining young talents to understand that God does not need their talents only but ministering to Him as well, organisers said.

Popular gospel worshippers thrilled the crowd of believers who turned up for the event.

Healing Worship Team, Rehoboth Ministries, Injiri Bora choir, Liliane Kabaganza, and Dominic Nick were among the standout performers.

Others included Bosco Nshuti, Papy Claver and Simon Kabera.

Other groups and artistes including Trinity Worship Centre Team, Precious Gisele, Jado Sinza, and Sam Rwibasira also performed.

Launching the festival, Bishop Fidele Masengo of Foursquare Kimironko, described the event as a moment for all worshippers to meet and share their calling.

He noted that, besides perfect melodies and great music, artistes should have positive impacts in their community.

Referring to the theme of the event, “Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account,” Pastor Christophe Sebigabo of Calvary Revival Church reminded the artistes to be humble and responsible citizens.

“These days some (gospel) artistes consider themselves to be very important people but they should remember that to serve the Lord requires humility,” he said.

Peace Nicodem Nzahoyankuye, the coordinator of the event, thanked all contributors to the event, promising an even better edition next year.

The event ended at 8:30p.m.
