Should bars be held responsible for underage drinking?

Revok their licenses! Underage drinking is one behavior that will surely lead to horrible performances at school, and that’s why it’s every parent’s nightmare. Right from my time in a boarding high school, around the adolescence period, I remember being a model good kid who didn’t partake in what the “stubborn kids” used to indulge in. That is sex with prostitutes, alcohol and drug abuse.Every night, scores of rogue kids would escape through cut fences, just to go get a pint of crude alcohol in the neighboring towns. Once they got high, drugs and sex would follow, thus becoming a menace to the rest of us who were too scared to report them to school administrators.Whenever they were too broke to continue their lifestyles, they stole everything from the dormitory; I’ll never forget the night I returned from my night preps only to find my bed with no bed sheets and blanket. Sad enough, these kids were between thirteen and sixteen years of age and to think that they were paving a way to a fake future is an understatement.At the end of every school term, they would have the worst grades and I even wonder how their parents let them return for another term. Teachers would try their best to trap these kids in the illegal acts but unfortunately they were to savvy and knew how to avoid being captured.Although the law is clearly against the sale of alcohol to persons less than 18 years old, nothing is happening to stop it. Every now and then, especially in the holiday seasons, I find boys and girls barely eighteen drowning in hard liquors.The bar owners at that seem too fine and unbothered by it; if anything, I’d believe that these toddlers are regular customers and get drinks on credit or on-the-house.It is high time authorities started to put pressure on bar owners for this act to reduce. People in the liquor business should be warned and if caught selling alcohol to minors, they should face larger fines than the profits they hoped to get by selling alcohol to whomsoever comes along.Instead of running around trying to arrest drunken young people, let the cops try to sabotage supply. They should lay siege on all the bars and shops until they get one business to make a good example of. Those in the habit should also be warned that they risk losing their liquor licenses.
