A little grooming never killed anyonePersonally, I like a man with some ruggedness to him...not too much however; I don’t want a mad man! In all sincerity, I can’t stand a man neat as a pin, making me feel polluted because women are supposed to be neater and I’m sort of not (don’t judge). A well-groomed man who doesn’t have to iron a shirt when he’s going to sit at home and watch TV is what I’m talking about. By well groomed I mean neatly saved head, clean and short nails (men who grow their nails are just a nuisance), clean clothes and a decent body odour. Yes, even keeping your body nice and fresh is grooming and no offense but who wants to be around someone whose body scent matches the inside of a sewer pipe?I really don’t see the harm in a man going to a salon to have his nails trimmed and filed, hair cut and possibly feet soaked and scrubbed. As long as he won’t ask to have his nails painted, I’m cool with that. Men with a touch of feminism are the true description of Real men – well at least to me. Some men think that ridiculously bushy body parts are a sign of macho-hood. Sorry to break it to you fellows but seriously, chest hair gone wild reminds me of King Kong and I wouldn’t be caught dead anywhere near him. A little waxing wouldn’t be so bad – stay with just a little to prove that you are a man if you want.A white teacher in my early secondary school days had eyebrows so bushy - he had to tilt his head back just to see properly! He was in dire need of a tweeze – to say the least. Maybe his wife found it sexy and that is the reason he never saw it fit to trim them a little! Every morning when he came to class, I just wanted to jump over my desk and pluck them myself.Maybe men shouldn’t put as much effort into spa treatment as women but once in a blue moon wouldn’t hurt. Besides, if a guy had claws for nails and some really rough feet with a bushy chest and eyebrows, I believe his woman would send him straight to the spa herself or ask him to set up permanent residence at the zoo!Getting a mani-pedi might seem ‘queer’ to some people but to others, it’s actually classy, and I’m down for class! I know many men who get pedicures in anticipation for when they have to wear sandals. When a man’s toenails are all hard, yellow, and nasty looking, that is a big deal breaker!A man with tough hands and feet ends up looking a bit worn and unattractive. Getting regular manicures and pedicures will help keep the hands and feet looking their best at all times.
