RWANDA’S Amavubi team will face Namibia in two international friendly matches scheduled for October and November this year.While confirming the development yesterday head coach Milutin Sredojovic Micho said that the first match will be played on October 13 at Windhoek independence Stadium while the second game set for November 11 at Amahoro stadium.Micho said, “I hope these two matches will help in preparing our national team ahead of the Cecafa Challenge Cup as well as keeping the player in good shape.”“It will be great for the team and it is good to play two international friendlies. Namibia is a good side and I am happy to play them. We need to keep our team competitive as we continue to plan for the upcoming Caf and Fifa qualifiers,” added Micho.Micho will, starting this weekend, to assess players that have been part of the national team as well as new players who show potential in the National Football league which gets underway this Saturday.On the foreign-based players, Micho will be making follow-ups on Tunisian based duo of Olivier Karekezi (Bizerte FC) and Meddie Kagere (Esperance Sportive de Zarzis), Mulisa Jimmy (AFC Tubize), Munyaneza Henry (Woluwe), Steven Emmanuel Godfroid Kunduma (Vietnam), Edwin Ouon (AEL Limassaol) and Uzamukunda Elias (AS Cannes).Amavubi will be using the two matches to prepare for her Cecafa Challenge tournament due in Uganda as well as next 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali on March 22.Namibia is ranked 115 in the world and 33rd in Africa while Rwanda is placed on 120th and 35th in the Coca Cola-Fifa monthly ranking of September.
