RVP is not what Man United needed

Manchester United need a top quality central midfielder or even a world class defender more than a striker. Scoring goals is not the main problem for Ferguson’s team.Defender Nemanja Vidic has become injury prone and is no longer reliable for long term services. He has weakened in terms of his physique.Likewise, Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans have suffered performance depletion of recent leaving United with no very reliable man in their defence. In the central midfield, United has to rely on the likes of Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and veteran Paul Scholes.United should have brought in a central midfielder or defensive player and not a striker. In modern football, goals win matches but you must be able to defend them must as you score them.
