Right Guards claimed the Zaaffran T-20 title after beating rivals Impala Titans by 51 runs in a thrilling final over the weekend at Kicukiro oval.Right Guards put on 161 to Impala Titan’s 110 to win their second trophy in a space of four months when they last lifted the Sulfo League championship title.Captain Derrick Bayingana paid glowing tribute to his teammates for claiming the title.“The score may suggest that we dominated the game but it was not easy. We needed to be on top of our game to win”.Right Guards’s Dennis Mukama was voted the man of the match; Best Bowler of Tour accolade went to Bayingana; Eric Duzingizimana won the Best Batsman award while Don Dieu Mugisha was the player of the tournament.The tournament was sponsored by Zaaffran restaurant and is a curtain raiser to the Sulfo league that is expected to start on August 18.
