His songs, Akinyuma and Ikinyafu, were among the seven Rwandan songs banned in Burundi by the National Communication Council of Burundi. During the YouTube interview, Bruce Melodie noted that his songs, which many say encourage the youth to engage in immoral behavior, don’t even contain dirty content. He also said that Burundians had been practicing immoral behaviors even before he started producing music, indicating that the accusations lacked facts. “There are a lot of things that kill people other than our songs.
