Canal Rwanda announces discounts as European leagues, BAL enter crucial stage

As major world football leagues continue and the African Basketball League (BAL) just two weeks away from tipoff, Canal Rwanda has announced a new promotion to allow sports enthusiasts watch their favorite clubs and leagues at affordable prices. Europe’s top five leagues Serie A in Italy, Spanish La Liga, English Premier League, German Bundesliga and the French Ligue 1 plus the UEFA Champions League and NBA are all ongoing and available live on Canal Sport channels. For movie lovers, Canal also launched their new “Le Trône d’Akachi” Series which premiered on March 13, on Canal Premiere. “We have brought you a very nice new TV series which combines different cultures from different parts of Africa. People who watched the popular series called “Game of Thrones” will enjoy this one too,” said Canal Plus Rwanda Sales Director Aimé Christian Abizera. The first episode will show on Canal Premiere on March 13. “We hope people will love it,” he said. In their new promotion, Canal Plus Rwanda has reduced the price of decoders from Rwf20,000 to 5000 with all the accessories including its antennae, cables and remote control to name a few. Buying the decoder, subscribers are advised to buy a bouquet of Rwf10,000 that will allow them to have access to 188 channels that include all Italian Serie A matches as well as BAL 2023. The BAL season will begin on March 11, and end on May 27, 2023, with the finals coming at BK Arena in Kigali for the third season in a row. In line with the previous season, the regular season’s Sahara Conference will be played in both Dakar, Senegal and the Nile Conference in Cairo, Egypt. Canal Plus also initiated a 15-day bonus to access all channels to all existing clients who will renew their canal bouquet starting from February 24 to March 31. Rwandan film lovers were not left behind and will continue enjoying their favourite local series like; Seburikoko, Papa Sava, Umuturanyi and many others on Channel 38, which is exclusively for Rwandan films. “People will continue watching their favourite local series on Zacu Tv as we are looking to expand distribution of the films that we broadcast on the channel,” Abizera said. Canal plus is also encouraging clients who possess old decoders to buy new ones so they can access over 90 extra HD channels at only Rwf5000. “We encourage clients who haven’t renewed their old decoders with the new HD decoders to seek assistance from nearest Canal shops and agents for assistance.
