Scrapping roaming charges was in order
Editor, I read with excitement news about MTN’s move to scrap cross-border roaming charges for its customers while in Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland and Zambia. The decision is sensible since other regional operators like Airtel, MTN Uganda and UTL already don't charge roaming fees. The charges had become a burden to Rwandans and a communication barrier.
