Girls, there is something that you need to know about boys before you start classifying them. Just one question and you will know everything about him. Do not ask him about his “IQ” coz you will get total lies. Just ask: “What kind of music do you like?” This applies to only guys with original swags. The answer he will give you will help you know what kind of person he is. Here I help you try to jungle the answers you will get. RnB Guys think it’s cool to hit high notes. In fact he won’t hesitate to sing to you to show how much they love you, how romantic! This is the kind that will cry when they get dumped, kind that will miss lunch because you have little credit on your phone! Cool thing about them is that they are so loyal while in love. Such guys are considered being very emotional and in Rwanda they are tagged ‘Pedde’. HIPHOP The uptown and ghetto dudes do like hiphop. They believe they cannot do without a girl. There’s a category that believes in doing what their favorite rapper portrays. They will splash the dime on you, enjoy your company along with your girlfriends coz it makes him feel pimpish. This breed endeavors to pull off a Jay-z look but ends up with a Soulja boy look instead in baggy jeans, yellow baseball cap, lime green jumper, chains; huge sunglasses (ooh!) The lot with 50 Cent and DMX as their favorite rappers, think you cannot do without them. Few of these qualify as gentlemen; some of them can even compare you to their phones or “bling”. Although there are a few with an open minded and gentle types that are down for MC’s like Nas, Common. ROCK Most guys that are down for rock are really humble, passionate, geeks, watch a lot of TV (not your local channels) they probably “never heard” of jam agenda. And very untidy, they may look presentable but not so clean. This is definitely the loving type, after loving rock what else can’t one love? Just know after his TV, ipod and phone you take next place in his heart. Pretenders exist everywhere. These think it is cool to nod one’s head to hard-hitting metal and artistes howling like they’ve been possessed by voodoo. These culprits will pretend to enjoy the atmosphere at Effendy’s, Miley Cyrus’ horrible vocals and worst of all pretend to like you yet they are having their own gahundas (programme). LOCAL These guys are in different categories. Most of them will like you, in fact lick your feet, besides the bottle and premiership you’ll be their only source of fun. What more would a girl want from a guy? Beware! If you cannot get rid of this lot then quit your swell and diva attitude, quit the desire for going out to cool restaurants because he won’t find his favorite cuisine cyapati and beans there. Those that are down for Navio and GNL are party animals and won’t hesitate to walk out on you when someone fairer passes by! They are the kind of guys that most girls first run to but later regret! REGGAE Rare indeed, these guys are so calm. Talk little besides forging patois. “Dey never shout at dem gals. Dey love dem jams and plant (you know what I mean) more dan any ting including you! Jah bless dem.” The best kind of guys (like me) do take off time to enjoy the soothing works of musical geniuses like Joseph Haydn, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Emanuel Bach. Getting them is like looking for Bob Marley on any Island in Rwanda! These are arguably the best guys I would propose for the girls. Such girls include people like me unless if you have any doubts!
