Mukura Victory Sports climbed to second place in the BK Pro League standings after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Gicumbi FC at Kamena Stadium on Matchday Six. A first half strike from Boateng Mensah proved decisive as the Huye-based side collected a crucial three points against former coach Lotfi Afahmia to hand his side the second defeat of the season. Elsewhere, Musanze FC returned to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 win over struggling Police FC on home soil. Allan Kategaya opened the scoring in the 31st minute before Leonidas Munyurangabo sealed the win with a late strike in the 89th minute, capping off an impressive performance by the Northern Province outfit. The win piled more misery on Police FC who have won just once in their last five league games. At Umuganda Stadium, Marine FC and Gasogi United shared the spoils in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Marine took the lead through Yannick Bizimana in the 41st minute and looked set for victory when Sultan Bobo doubled their advantage shortly after the restart. However, Gasogi United mounted a spirited comeback, with Kamanda Wiselikolo pulling one back before Hervé Ngono struck in the 72nd minute to earn his side a valuable point. Meanwhile, Sunrise FC and Etoile de l'Est settled for a 1-1 draw in Nyagatare. Daniel Akpo handed Sunrise an early lead in the eighth minute, but Yusuf Niyonshuti restored parity for the visitors before halftime, as both teams shared the points.
