Rwandan midfielder Bonheur Mugisha scored his first Saudi Pro League goal as his team Al Hazem came from behind to draw 2-2 with Al Fayha on Thursday, October 22. Mugisha gave Al Hazem an early lead with a fifth-minute header, becoming the first Rwandan player to score in the Saudi Pro League. Al Fayha equalised through Zambian forward Fashion Sakala in the 33rd minute before Sultan Tanker turned the ball into his own net in the 69th minute to put the visitors ahead. Al Hazem salvaged a point when Algerian playmaker Amir Sayoud converted a penalty in the 89th minute. I am very happy to score my first goal in the Saudi Pro League. It is a special moment for me because I have worked hard since joining the club,” Mugisha said. This year, the 26-year-old midfielder, popularly known as “Casemiro” for his commanding presence in midfield, made history by becoming the first Rwandan player to sign for a Saudi Pro League club after joining Al-Hazem SC from Egyptian side Al Masry.
