Imara Properties has announced the launch of The Citadel, its 7th residential development on KG 7 Avenue in Kacyiru, minutes from several government ministries and the US embassy. The project brings 42 exclusive luxury apartments, including 6 rooftop residences, on the emblematic wide, palm-lined avenue. Handover is planned for 2028. The building rises over seven floors with six residences on each, laid out around a central core with two lifts. The developer offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments of 83 sqm, 160 sqm and 197 sqm, with ceilings above three metres and bedrooms exceeding 25 sqm. Amenities include a reception, a fitness room, an indoor swimming pool, and more than 60 parking spaces. “KG 7 Avenue is to Kigali what Embassy Row is to Washington or Nassim Road to Singapore. There will not be a second development like this one, and we wanted a building that deserves it”, said David Benazeraf, Founding partner and Managing Director of Imara Properties. An exclusive address Imara describes The Citadel as a ‘discreet fortress’, a secure address at a human scale for its residents, a protected place that enjoys the view from a city high point. Founding partner Aimé Bakata Nkunzi points to three things that cannot be copied: “the location, the quality of the materials and the execution of the works.” The Citadel is Imara's 7th project in Kigali. Since 2022, the developer has delivered five projects and 75 units in Rebero and Kibagabaga, to owners and tenants from 25 countries. The ONE Residence, in Kimihurura, is due for delivery in 2027. “Our projects have consistently sold out before completion”, recalled Founding partner Aimé Bakata Nkunzi. “KG 7 Avenue was the address we were waiting for, especially looking ahead to Formula 1 in Rwanda.” About Imara Properties Founded in 2020, Imara Properties is a French-Rwandan developer specialising in residential real estate.
