RSSB Tigers forward Steven Hagumintwari says his team is determined as they faceoff with NBA G League United in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup semi-finals in Beijing on Saturday, September 26.

G League United is a select American team made up of top NBA G League players that represents the league and the United States in international competitions.

The game will tip off at 9:30pm Kigali time on Saturday.

G League United finished top of Group B, ahead of Argentina’s Boca Juniors and China’s Beijing Royal Fighters, while the Tigers advanced after finishing second in Group A behind Lithuania’s Rytas Vilnius.

"We want to win, and we want Rwandans to see us win. We will fight for it,” Hagumintwari said.

He said preparations had gone well, with the Tigers studying their opponents ahead of the semi-final.

The Tigers reached the last four after recovering from a 19-point deficit to beat Shanghai Sharks 117-115 in overtime. G League United won both their group games, including a 79-74 victory over Boca Juniors, and have reached the final in each of the past two editions.
