Craig Randall has said he is looking forward to playing against a number of familiar players on NBA G League United, a team that will face the RSSB Tigers on Saturday in the semifinals of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Beijing, China.

G League United is a select American team made up of top players from the NBA G League that represents the league and the United States in international competitions.

The Tigers Vs G League United game will start at 9:30PM (Kigali time) on Saturday in Beijing, China.

G League United finished top of Group B, ahead of Argentina’s Boca Juniors and China’s Beijing Royal Fighters, while the Tigers advanced to the semifinals after finishing second in Group A behind Lithuania’s Rytas Vilnius.

Randall said he knows several players on the G League team, including Phillip Wheeler of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, James Bouknight of the Mexico City Capitanes and Yuri Collins of the Memphis Hustle.

"It's a bunch of guys on the team that I spent a lot of time with, guys I've played against in the G League, so it's going to be a fun night. I think this matchup is good for us. We have similar styles. We play up and down. They play fast, we play fast,” he said.

Randall also reflected on the Tigers’ 117-115 overtime comeback win over Shanghai Sharks, which secured their place in the semifinals.

"We're coming off a huge comeback win. I think we found a good rhythm. We found some lineups that worked for us,” he noted.

"We're excited, looking forward to the challenge. We know what they're capable of, but we also know what we're capable of too. So looking forward to just getting to the game, having fun, and doing the best we can, and coming out with the win,” he added.
