Here are seven to choose from: Memory of Princess Mumbi Set in 2093, Memory of Princess Mumbi follows filmmaker Kuve as he travels to Umata to document the aftermath of a war that brought ancient kingdoms back to life. There, he meets Mumbi, who challenges him to make his film without using AI. As Kuve searches for his own voice, the film explores what happens when technology is taken out of the picture and the focus returns to human stories and small moments of beauty. The story follows a pastor who stages fake miracles and uses them to trick his congregation. Things become complicated when his choir singer, Shuma, and his assistant, Vumiliya, become caught up in his secrets. Crying Soil & IREBE Two dance performances take the stage at Institut Français du Rwanda (CCFR) this Friday, September 18, from 7 p.m. Crying Soil looks at the effects of plastic pollution and climate change on the environment and the communities that depend on it. IREBE explores mental health, resilience and personal transformation. Entry is Rwf10,000 and Rwf5,000 for CCFR members. I'm Not Serious! Fred Rufe brings his one-man stand-up comedy show, I'm Not Serious!, to Mundi Center on Saturday, September 19, from 6 p.m. The show promises an evening of stand-up, with Rufe taking the stage for an hour of jokes and stories. La Nuit des Contes For something slower paced, La Nuit des Contes brings an evening of storytelling to Institut Français du Rwanda on Saturday, September 19, 6:30 p.m. Chantal Umuraza will lead the session, with the stories accompanied by melodies from inanga musician Jean Marie Vianney Mushabizi. Admission is free. Fuego Fest Belgian DJ and producer Miro Vanhauter, known as DJ Miro, will headline the latest edition of Fuego Fest on Saturday, September 19 at Atelier du Vin. Organised by Evolve Music Group, the festival will feature local and international DJs, including DJ Tyga and DJ Inkel. Blandy Starr will also make her debut as a DJ. Nuru Wave Festival Nuru Wave Festival brings together Christian music and youth culture through a mix of Afro-gospel, R&B, amapiano, spoken word, games, dance and DJ sets. The lineup includes SeeMuzik, Burundian guests Victorious Team, as well as Gaby Kamanzi, Emeline Penzi, Rata Jah Naychah, Rene Patrick and Tracy, and DJ Spin, among others.
