Belgian DJ and producer Miro Vanhauter, popularly known as DJ Miro, will headline the latest edition of Fuego Fest, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, at Atelier du Vin in Kigali. Organised by Evolve Music Group, the festival will bring together local and international DJs for a celebration of culture and African youth creativity. Joining the lineup are DJ Tyga and DJ Inkel, while Blandine Uwase, popularly known as Blandy Starr, will make her debut behind the decks as a DJ. Advance tickets are priced at Rwf15,000 for regular entry and Rwf25,000 for VIP access. Born in Bruges, Belgium, in 2000, Miro developed an interest in music at a young age and has spent more than a decade honing his skills as a DJ and producer. He has gradually built an international following through energetic sets that blend Amapiano, Gqom, Afrobeats, hip-hop and other global club sounds, often incorporating his own edits and remixes. His résumé includes performances at major Belgian stages and festivals, including Tomorrowland, WeCanDance, Afro-Latino Festival, Versuz and Brussels’ Bloody Louis. Miro is also the touring DJ for Dutch rapper and singer Cristian D, with whom he has performed at festivals and venues across Europe. The pair also released the Afrobeats project Two Gyalies from London in August this year. In May, Miro released Maza, an Afrobeats collaboration with Armando Spence and Drama Drizzy, adding to a catalogue of music and projects influenced by African dance sounds.
