Gisagara Volleyball Club have signed South Sudanese star hitter James Achuil Nhial on a two-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2028. The move is a major reinforcement for coach Pierre Marchal Kwizera, who has been building a new-look Gisagara side since taking charge in June. Achuil arrives as a replacement for Samuel Niyogisubizo, who recently returned to Kirehe VC after ending his spell with Gisagara. His arrival is part of Gisagara’s rebuilding efforts following the departure of several key players, including setter Cedrick Ngaboyintwari and long-serving middle blocker Adamou Doudou Djibril, who both left the club at the end of last season. With the transfer window still open, Gisagara are also reportedly pursuing Kepler VC middle blocker John Nkurunziza and setter Jean Claude Masezerano, who recently ended his contract with Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC).
