Renowned Rwandan music producer and sound engineer Emmanuel Ndayambaje, popularly known as Bob Pro, married singer Kelliah, real name Kellia Tuyizere, on Sunday, September 13, in a day-long wedding celebration at Ingeri Host Village in Kabuga, Gasabo District. The celebrations began with a traditional introduction and dowry ceremony before the couple exchanged vows in a religious wedding and later brought their families and friends together for a reception. All the ceremonies were held at the same venue. The couple kept the wedding largely away from the public eye, with details only emerging after videos from the glamorous ceremony began circulating on social media late in the evening. Bob Pro is one of Rwanda’s most established music producers and sound engineers, with a career spanning nearly two decades. His extensive catalogue includes collaborations with some of the biggest names in Rwandan music, including the late Yvan Buravan, Meddy, The Ben, Butera Knowless, Tom Close and Andy Bumuntu. He has also worked on projects with several other leading local producers and artistes. Among his notable credits are Yvan Buravan’s Malaika, Garagaza and Big Time, Meddy’s Everything, as well as several songs by Bruce Melodie and other artistes, on which he handled mixing or mastering. His work has also extended beyond Rwanda, including a contribution to Sauti Sol’s hit song Suzanna. Bob Pro developed an interest in music production at an early age before pursuing further training in music and recording at a conservatoire in Belgium. Over the years, he has operated through The Soundss, his studio and music platform, while also mentoring and working with a new generation of producers. Kelliah, meanwhile, has pursued music professionally since 2018. Her catalogue includes Renge, Together, Ndabizi featuring Alyn Sano and, more recently, Gitego. The couple had largely kept their relationship away from the spotlight before their wedding, maintaining a low profile despite their presence in Rwanda’s entertainment industry.
