Kiyovu Sports suffered their second consecutive BK Pro League defeat after falling 1-0 to Musanze FC at Ubworoherane Stadium on Friday afternoon, on Friday, September 11.

The Green Baggies, who lifted the Super Cup last month, have now lost both of their opening league matches, raising early concerns despite their impressive start to the season in cup competition.

Leonidas Munyurangabo scored the all-important goal in the 24th minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse in Kiyovu's defence.

Kiyovu responded with urgency and created several opportunities to get back into the match. However, poor finishing and Musanze's disciplined defending prevented the visitors from finding an equaliser.

Saturday Fixtures:

The BK Pro League action continues on Saturday with three matches scheduled across the country.

At Ngoma Stadium, Etoile de l'Est host Kigali FC at 3 p.m. as both teams look to secure an early-season boost.

Meanwhile, Gicumbi FC welcome Amagaju FC to Gicumbi Stadium in what promises to be one of the most evenly matched contests of the weekend.

Elsewhere, Gorilla FC take on Etincelles FC at Kigali Pele Stadium, with both sides aiming to strengthen their position in the early standings.
