Striker Didier Mugisha has joined Kiyovu Sports on a two-year contract after terminating his deal with Police FC. The 25-year-old has completed a permanent move to the Green Baggies after spending the past six months on loan at Rayon Sports. Mugisha still had one year remaining on his Police FC contract, but Rayon Sports were not interested in making his stay permanent, while Police FC were also unwilling to bring him back into their plans, prompting the forward to look for a new challenge. Kiyovu Sports moved quickly to secure his services as they searched for a replacement for René Uwineza, whose loan spell from Intare FC has ended. Mugisha will now begin a new chapter at Kiyovu as the club prepares for the 2026/27 season under newly appointed English head coach Mark Harrison. The Green Baggies are hoping to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for honours during the upcoming campaign.
