Kenya Police Bullets FC made a winning start to their CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers campaign with a 2-1 victory over Tanzania’s Simba Queens at Kigali Pelé Stadium on Monday. Faith Moraa put Bullets ahead in the 14th minute after being picked out by Terezah Engesha, giving the Kenyan side an early advantage. Simba Queens responded after the break and drew level through Senaf Demise with 20 minutes remaining. However, Martha Amnyolete restored Bullets’ lead with 10 minutes left on the clock to secure all three points. In the other Group B fixture on Monday, Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies WFC defeated CBE WFC 1-0 at 4pm at the same venue. Bullets will face Top Girls Academy in their final group match as they look to secure a place in the semi-finals of the regional qualifiers.
