Semi-finals, Game 5 Patriots 83-79 REG APR 105-78 RSSB Tigers APR and Patriots have booked their places in the 2026 Rwanda Basketball League finals after eliminating RSSB Tigers and Rwanda Energy Group (REG) respectively in their best-of-five semifinal playoff series. APR secured a fourth consecutive finals appearance after a dominant 105-78 victory over RSSB Tigers in the decisive Game 5 on Friday night at Petit Stade, sealing the series 3-2. American point guard Craig Randall and Adonis Filer starred for the army side, scoring 21 and 20 points respectively as APR finished the series in emphatic fashion. The Lions will now face Patriots, who advanced to the finals after edging REG 83-79 in a hard-fought Game 5 encounter. Franklin Damaria led the way for Patriots with a game-high 24 points, while Nigerian center Chingka Kennedy Garba contributed 17 points. The championship series will be played in a best-of-seven format, with Game 1 scheduled for August 16.
