Rayon Sports have confirmed the signing of experienced Ivorian centre-back Mohamed Ouattara on an undisclosed deal as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the new season. Fresh from their 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup triumph, the Blues are reinforcing their defence as they prepare for a demanding campaign that will see them compete in the Rwanda Super Cup, CAF Confederation Cup, BK Pro League and Peace Cup. “Fresh from Kagame Cup glory, Rayon Sports are building for bigger battles ahead. And with Mohamed Ouattara now part of the Gikundiro family, the journey promises to be even more exciting,” the club said in a statement. Ouattara brings a wealth of continental experience, having played for several of Africa’s prominent clubs, including Wydad AC, Simba SC, Al Hilal and Al Ain. The defender has also featured prominently in the CAF Champions League, making 20 appearances.
