Sudan's Al Hilal SC secured the bronze medal at the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup after defeating South Sudan's Jamus SC 2-1 in the third-place game played on Friday, August 7 at Amahoro Stadium. After a goalless first half, Al Hilal stepped up their performance in the second period and were rewarded in the 54th minute when Ansumana Samura broke the deadlock with a well-taken finish to put the Sudanese giants ahead. The breakthrough boosted Al Hilal's confidence, and they doubled their advantage 12 minutes later through Abdelrazig Omer, who calmly found the back of the net in the 66th minute to give his side a comfortable 2-0 lead. Jamus SC struggled to create clear scoring opportunities for most of the match but kept fighting until the final whistle. Their persistence paid off deep into stoppage time when Simon Majak scored in the first minute of added time (90+1) to reduce the deficit. However, the goal came too late to inspire a comeback. Al Hilal managed the remaining moments of the game professionally to seal a 2-1 victory and claim third place in the regional tournament.
