Tanzanian music stars Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu have welcomed their first child together, a daughter, and announced the news on social media on Sunday. Alongside the announcement, Diamond shared a light-hearted message in Swahili asking visitors to skip the flowers. We haven't given birth to bees, these flowers are enough. Come with money instead, he wrote, joking that cash would be more practical than bouquets. Zuchu responded by calling their daughter her whole world. Diamond and Zuchu first sparked dating rumours in late 2021 and later reconciled after several public separations. Diamond confirmed in June 2025 that they had married privately. Their daughter is the couple's first child together. Diamond has four children from previous relationships, while Zuchu becomes a mother for the first time. Diamond, one of East Africa’s biggest stars, has spent much of his career balancing hit songs with a highly visible personal life. Zuchu, who rose through Diamond’s Wasafi label, has also built a strong following of her own.
