Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia FC have strengthened their attacking department with the signing of Uganda international Denis Omedi ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The record Kenyan Premier League champions announced Omedi’s arrival of the forward on Friday. He joins the Nairobi-based side from Rwandan champions APR FC where he spent one season. The 32-year-old striker has enjoyed a meteoric rise in East African football in recent years. He began attracting attention during his spell with Booma FC before earning a move to Kitara FC, where his career reached new heights. During the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season, Omedi emerged as one of the country's standout performers, scoring 15 league goals in his maiden top-flight campaign. His clinical finishing played a crucial role in Kitara's impressive season and helped cement his reputation as one of Uganda's most lethal strikers. One of Omedi's most memorable moments came during the FUFA Super 8 Tournament, where he produced a stunning rabona strike against KCCA FC. The sensational goal quickly went viral and was nominated for the 2025 FIFA Puskas award.
