After electing to bat first, Rwanda posted a competitive 190/9 in 40 overs, inspired by another magnificent century from Fanny Utagushimaninde. The 16-year-old starred with 110 off 119 balls, striking seven boundaries at a strike rate of 92.44. Lina Ikuzwe provided valuable support with 19 from 26 deliveries. Mary Namiiro led the resistance with a determined 66 off 91 balls, while Llora Joan added 32 from 38 deliveries, but the hosts ultimately fell 31 runs short. Already a regular in Rwanda's senior women's national team, Utagushimaninde has featured in major international competitions, including the ICC Women's T20I Trophy, where she has produced several crucial innings.
