Reunited Rwandan music group Urban Boyz will extend their comeback run to Kigali, with the trio set to headline “Replay Volume One” at Zaria Court Hotel on Saturday, August 8. The concert will be held as part of the hotel’s first anniversary celebrations. The show comes a week after the group’s planned reunion performance at the Rubavu leg of MTN Iwacu Muzika Festival on August 1, where they are set to share the stage for the first time since splitting in 2019. Their strained relationship was a major factor in the group’s split, which was followed by a series of public fallouts between the former bandmates. Safi, who relocated to Canada, met Jizzo in Kenya before the pair travelled to Kigali on July 22, where they were welcomed by Nizzo at Kigali International Airport. Formed in 2008 in Huye District, Urban Boyz became one of Rwanda’s most successful music groups, earning several accolades, including the 2016 Primus Guma Guma Super Star title and multiple Salax Awards, including Artist of the Year, Best Group and Best Male Artist. Doors for the August 8 concert will open at 6 p.m., with tickets priced at Rwf 7,000 for General Access and Rwf 15,000 for the Golden Circle.
