HLB Rwanda joined thousands of colleagues across the globe in celebrating HLB Communities Day 2026 by volunteering at Amizero Primary School located in Gikondo, where staff spent the day supporting children with autism through learning, play and the donation of essential supplies. The initiative forms part of HLB International's annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. HLB International is a global network of audit, tax and advisory firms. Through Communities Day, the network encourages its member firms to give back to the communities where they live and work through volunteering and other social impact initiatives. This year's HLB Communities Day saw HLB firms in 155 countries unite around a shared commitment to community service, with the global network aiming to contribute more than 10,000 volunteer hours through over 2,500 volunteers working on projects that address local community needs. In Rwanda, a team of 26 HLB Rwanda volunteers visited Amizero Primary School, which provides an inclusive learning environment for children with autism and other special educational needs. The volunteers engaged with more than 40 students through educational and recreational activities designed to encourage learning, social interaction and inclusion. They also donated food, school supplies and other essential items to support the school's daily operations and the well-being of its learners. The visit also sought to raise awareness about autism while promoting greater inclusion and social support for children with special educational needs. According to HLB Rwanda, the experience reinforced the importance of kindness, inclusion and community engagement, while providing an opportunity for staff to make a meaningful contribution beyond their professional roles. The firm said the initiative reflects its commitment to creating a positive impact in the communities it serves by strengthening connections with local institutions and supporting vulnerable groups. HLB Communities Day is closely aligned with HLB International's purpose of helping clients, people and communities flourish. Beyond providing advisory and accounting services, the network encourages its member firms to contribute to sustainable community development through volunteering, local partnerships and other social impact initiatives. Globally, HLB International comprises more than 58,500 professionals working across 155 countries, with Communities Day serving as a collective demonstration of the network's commitment to responsible business and community development.
