Rwandan-born defender Warren Kamanzi has completed a permanent move to Swedish champions Malmö FF, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029. The 25-year-old joins Malmö from French Ligue 1 side Toulouse FC, where he spent the last three-and-a-half years after arriving in January 2023. During his time in France, Kamanzi made 100 appearances across all competitions and played a key role in Toulouse's historic Coupe de France triumph during his debut season. The club went on to finish 10th in the 2025/26 Ligue 1 campaign. He remains eligible to represent Rwanda at international level. Professional career Kamanzi began his football journey with SK Freidig before moving to Strindheim IL. In 2015, he joined Rosenborg BK where he progressed through the youth ranks and earned promotion to the first team in 2020. In January 2021, he joined Rangeim IL on loan to gain regular first-team football before returning to Rosenborg later that year. A year later, he signed for Tromsø IL on a free transfer. After an impressive campaign in Norway's top flight, he attracted interest from Toulouse, who secured his signature ahead of the 2023 season. Having reached the milestone of 100 appearances for Toulouse and lifted the Coupe de France, Kamanzi now embarks on a new challenge with Malmö FF as he aims to continue his development in Swedish football.
