American fitness influencer Ashton Hall has gifted Rwandan fitness content creator Enock Uwizeye, popularly known as Kagarara or Ashton Small, a Kia Sorento, $5,000 (about Rwf7.2 million) in startup capital and pledged to take him to the United States. The gesture came during Hall's visit to Rwanda as part of his African tour. He arrived in Kigali on Friday, July 10, alongside fellow fitness content creators Indian Ashton Hall and Ashton Small, following stops in Ghana, Nigeria and Benin. During their stay, the trio visited several locations across Kigali, including Kigali Arena, Kigali Universe and Platinum Gym in Rebero, where they took part in fitness challenges, met fans and interacted with local athletes. An emotional surprise One of the most memorable moments of the visit came when Hall surprised Kagarara with a Kia Sorento. After leading him to the vehicle while blindfolded, Hall told the emotional content creator that the gift was a blessing from God rather than from himself. This is going to be transportation for you, Hall said. He explained that the vehicle would make it easier for Kagarara to focus on creating content and expanding his brand. I don't know if you can drive yet, but maybe we'll get you a driver. You have a team, so this will help you get where you need to go without waiting for rides or buses because I believe your message needs to reach the entire world. Hall also assured Kagarara that their friendship would continue long after the visit. We are brothers. I'm here forever. When you're 55 and I'm 60, I'll still be calling you and checking how you're doing, how your family is and how everything is going. In addition to the vehicle, Hall handed Kagarara $5,000 to support his future projects and encouraged him to remain focused on his work. This is one of many blessings God has for you. This is just a jump-start. It is not your retirement. I want you to focus on your content and the message you're sharing with the world because I know you're going to be a star. Hall revealed that after featuring Kagarara on his social media platforms, he was overwhelmed by the response from followers eager to learn more about the Rwandan creator. I posted you on my page once and everybody kept blowing up my phone asking about Ashton Small. They see a light in you, brother. Thank you for allowing me to spend these two weeks with you. I love you. ALSO READ: Ashton Hall lands in Rwanda after viral African tour with Kagarara An emotional Kagarara thanked Hall for the life-changing support. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you so much, he said. Hall then announced another surprise. I'm taking Ashton Small to America very soon. I see God in you. God has said a lot, he added. Hall had previously made a similar gesture to Indian Ashton Hall, gifting him a car and financial support. The Ben joins the celebrations Hall later met Rwandan music star The Ben at Kigali Universe, where hundreds of supporters had gathered to celebrate Kagarara's achievements. The Ben thanked Hall for recognising and supporting Rwandan talent. We can't thank you enough, brother. Thank you so much. We love you. I've been following you for a while, The Ben said. Hall told the singer that Kagarara had spent much of the tour talking about him. He's been talking about you the whole trip. I asked him who his favourite artist was, and all he said was you. He's been singing your songs the whole time. The Ben congratulated Kagarara, saying the entire country was proud of his journey. We've been watching you. The entire country is proud of you. He later performed Kagarara's favourite song, Thank You, as part of the celebrations. Declared Rwanda's strongest man Another highlight of the visit came when Hall met local strongman Rutambi, who challenged him to stop two moving motorcycles using only his strength. Before accepting the challenge, Hall asked Rutambi to face Kagarara in a push-up contest. Kagarara emerged the clear winner, prompting Hall to declare him Rwanda's strongest man. Although Rutambi maintained that he had previously earned that title, Hall stood by his assessment after witnessing the contest. Hall then amazed spectators by successfully holding back two moving motorcycles before ranking the two athletes. You are the second, but the first is Kagarara. That's okay—you are the second. Tell the world, Hall told Rutambi. Kagarara later laughed off the challenge. Push-ups are like my breakfast every morning. Embracing Rwandan culture Away from the gym, Hall visited Kagarara's home, where the pair moulded traditional clay bricks together, giving the American influencer a firsthand experience of rural life in Rwanda. Hall also embraced Rwandan culture by wearing traditional attire, while Kagarara gave him a fresh haircut, symbolising the close friendship they developed during the visit. The tour attracted thousands of supporters and generated widespread attention across social media, with many praising Hall for using his global platform to spotlight Rwandan talent and for committing to support Kagarara's personal and professional growth beyond Rwanda.
