The RSSB Tigers have signed former NBA G League player Nate Roberts ahead of the second round of the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL), with the American expected to make his debut against United Generation Basketball (UGB) on Sunday. The 26-year-old power forward/centre arrived in Kigali on Friday. Standing at 2.11 metres, Roberts brings size and physicality to the Tigers' frontcourt, with strengths in rebounding, rim protection and interior defence. Roberts played college basketball for the Washington Huskies between 2018 and 2022, averaging 4.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over his collegiate career. After going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft, he joined the Long Island Nets in the NBA G League. He has also had professional spells in the Netherlands, India and Australia. RSSB Tigers are currently sixth in the league table with 18 points from 10 games.
