APR VC are reportedly in talks with free agent Sadru Manzi, who became available after ending his two-year contract with Police VC following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. A source close to the player informed Times Sport that the libero has been pursued by the army side since May as they look to bring him back to a squad currently coached by Sammy Mulinge. However, shortly after the season concluded, Kepler VC also tabled an offer to him. He was instrumental in helping the club dominate the regular season and finish at the top of the standings before qualifying for the playoffs. However, their journey ended in the finals against APR VC in a tightly contested best-of-three series that saw the army side lift their 11th league title. Despite falling short in two consecutive league finals, including this season's defeat to Rwanda Energy Group (REG), Manzi was also part of the Police VC squad that made history by winning a silver medal at the 2026 African Men's Club Championship, held in Kigali in May. Police reached the final unbeaten before falling to Africa's most decorated club, Al Ahly SC, who currently hold a record 17 continental titles. As the transfer window remains open, APR VC have been the most active club on the market. After signing former Kepler VC middle blocker Patrick Byiringiro on a two-year contract, the club is also in advanced talks to secure star opposite hitter Wicklif Dusenge while continuing negotiations to extend Yves Mutabazi's contract.
