The Rwanda Basketball Federation (Ferwaba) has lifted the suspension of APR Basketball Club players Ntore Habimana and Mpoyo Axel. FERWABA suspended the two players last month from all basketball activities for one year for allegedly failing to honour a national team call-up for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup African Qualifiers in Luanda, Angola, despite APR confirming their availability. ALSO READ: Basketball: Players snubbing national team face one-year suspension According to a statement from the federation, the decision to lift the suspension was reached after considering the corrective measures implemented by APR Basketball Club and the players' renewed commitment to honour national team call-ups and faithfully discharge their national team duties. Ferwaba reiterated that representing Rwanda is a privilege that demands patriotism, discipline and an unwavering commitment to place national interest above all else. Ntore and Mpoyo will be available for APR's game against Inspired Generation in the Rwanda Basketball League on Friday.
