Rayon Sports have continued their ambitious squad overhaul by signing 22-year-old Central African Republic winger Boris Gbenou. The Blues confirmed the signing on Sunday, July 5, through their official social media platforms, announcing that Gbenou has signed a two-year contract with the club. A former Central African Republic U20 international, Gbenou joins as a free agent and becomes Rayon Sports' sixth foreign recruit of the current transfer window. He joins fellow new arrivals Issa Djiguiba (Mali), Ibrahim Djingarey (Niger), Antonio Atisso Kodjo (Benin), Charles Tchouplaou (Chad), and Matumona Wakonda Kanda (DR Congo), as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the new season. Known for his pace and ability to stretch opposition defenses, Gbenou is expected to add greater attacking threat on the flanks—an area where Rayon Sports lacked consistency last season, particularly in continental matches against defensively organized opponents. Alongside their foreign reinforcements, Rayon Sports have also invested in local talent, bringing in Rwandan players Didier Ndayishimiye, Didier Nshuti, Christian Nisingizwe, Fabio Nkundimana, Mubarak Nizeyimana, and Daniel Muhoza. All the club's new signings are currently in camp in Gicumbi District as Rayon Sports prepare for the CECAFA Kagame Cup, the CAF Confederation Cup, and the upcoming domestic campaign.
