Police FC have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season with the signing of new players as part of an ongoing rebuilding process. The club officially announced a few additions, led by 26-year Iddrisu Shaibu, who joins from Kenya’s Sofapaka FC on a two-year contract. Shaibu is expected to fill the gap left by Christian Ishimwe, who recently returned to his former club, APR FC. Defensive reinforcements also include Chris Rushema, a 25-year-old left-back who signed a two-year deal after leaving Rayon Sports, where he struggled for regular playing time. In attack, Police secured the services of Moussa Limane, formerly of Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko SC, on a two-year contract as they look to sharpen their offensive options. Police FC also completed the signing of Keffa Tangara, a 24-year-old Malian winger, on a two-year deal. Tangara joins from Malian champions Djoliba AC, where he played a key role in their 2025/26 league title triumph. Primarily deployed on the right wing, he arrived in Rwanda this week to finalise the move despite reported interest from local rivals Rayon Sports. Midfield depth has been boosted with the arrival of Kenyan international Japheth Mzungu, who also signed a two-year contract after leaving Sofapaka FC. Other new signings include Valua Byishimo and Kevin Rugwiro. Meanwhile, the club has extended the contracts of Eric ‘Zidane Nsabimana’, Simeon Iradukunda, Patience Niyongira, and David Chimezie, ensuring continuity within the squad.
